I have a 727 with 2800 stall converter behind my 318 w/ 360 heads(soon to be replced with a 360).

I am planning on installing a trans cooler. I probably should have done this when I got the converter, I know, but I'm finally getting around to it. I work at AutoZone and we have the Hayden trans cooler kits there which I can get a discount on. This is a daily driver with some mild racing for fun. Will these kits perform well? How does the install go? Bypass the radiator trans cooler or install in-line WITH the radiator trans cooler?

I have a Hayden on mine the biggest I could fit,I installed using the existing one in line with it.I figured more fluid easier to cool.

I agree, everyone should use the biggest cooler they can fit in their cars.Keep the oil at 160-180 and it will live a long life.Mrmopartech

I use a engine oil cooler for mine---has 1/2 ince inner dia. tubes, got it from napa for about 30 bucks 7 years or so ago. I have also seen people use a flushed out a/c condeser. I have never tried it,but always thought it would fit good with cars that had stock a/c
