Trans leak

I have an oil leak behind the one of the studs that the shifter linkage attaches to. Can someone tell me is this any easy fix or am I going to have to pull the tranny. 4 speed in a 73 dart sport with a 340.
Also has anyone used royal purple synthetic gear lube in one of these trans?
 
im not sure on the leakage part, you might have to pull it and replace the tail housing gasket.

I use Pennzoil Syncromesh in my A833. It works for me.
 
Is it the studs for the shifter tabs? If so, pull the side cover and replace the seals for the forks, no need to pull the trans.
