Trans Question

just a quick question. i found this ad for a transmission and am just curious if it is a good deal and also what questions i need to ask the guy to make sure i am not getting a raw deal. any help would be great. the ad follows.....

Used 727 Transmission, small block 2wd. 27,000 miles since rebuilt, still works selling as core. Fits 273 318 (except the wide block) 340 and 360, Challengers, Cuda's, Darts and Dusters.

What's the price? Rebuildable cores aren't worth more than $100-$200.

A 727 for $85 is a good deal. Just make sure the case is not cracked or that water has sat inside it and rusted the inside components.

Make sure it has a long tailshaft on it. Not the shorty truck style.
