Just wondering I have some 4 speed transmissions I would like to sell, What is the best way to ship these as they are very heavy and what kinda of crate of package do they need to be in? I live just south of Houston Texas.

In the past I have shipped 833 4spds, 2 times Fed-Ex was the carrier, UPS did it once. One time I let the local Pack-an-ship box it up, wasn't a good idea, last 2 I shipped I put on a small skid, strapped down tight, put cardboard box around it to enclose.

Suggestions.........drain oil out, let it drip for a week to make sure it is empty..........they don't like to see oil dripping out of a box/crate AT ALL!!!

Good luck!!

I ship large parts with Fastenal 3PL. If you have a Fastenal store near you and near where they will be shipped it works great! You only need to strap it to a pallet, or if you want it insured then you have to put it in a box then strap it to a pallet. All the info is online on how to do it.
