not sure where to post this question,,sorry if im in the incorrect topic,,

im getting ready to purchase a quick time bell housing to do a tremec tko conversion in the near furture,,there bell housing come in both ford tremec and GM muncie tremec patterns,,,, does any one know which tremec is an easier swap to a mopar ??
thanks for any in fo,,,

I don't know for sure, but doesn't iesler use the Ford version?

i thought keislier used the gm pattern,, but they may have changed,, im trying to get in fo now ,,ive e mailed classis mopar 5 speed ,, see if they answer,,, they have been bought out by b&M and ill try to call keislier friday when im off,, i nned to send payment for a quick time bell housing,,

i understand the ford has a longer input shaft compared to the gm,,,ive heard the ford in put doesnt go in far enough to use a standard pilot bushing,, so they use a roller in the converter hole,,, i will also call dark horse performace tomorrow,,, just thought some oen here might know,,,

What are they using on the Viper and the new Chally for a bell housing, they will have a version of this trans on the 09 Chally, so is not the back of that hemi similar too for the bell housing needs?

Oute"
This six-speed overdrive transmission was developed for adaptation to a wide range of vehicle requirements. Currently, the TREMEC T-56 is being used on the Dodge Viper, Chevy Corvette Z06, Ford SVT Mustang Cobra, Aston Martin DB7 Vantage and V12 Vanquish, and Holden Commodore and Monaro."

Maybe give them a call for the 5spd info?

I have the TKO600 behind a big block and while shopping for a speedometer gear I found out that it`s a standard Ford part. I`m guessing they use the Ford version..........oh but the clutch disc/pressure plate is GM.......ah hell, I don`t know???? Lol! Give Keisler a call for edification, I`m sure they`d be happy to help.

tremec is working with GM and MOPAR,,, trying to make parts compatable between the new challenger and camaro,,,smart move they wil be 6 speeds,,,im only intrested in a tremec tko 5 speed,, long gone i have read,, that the ford tremec and input shaft work out best on the mopar,,i also read its the gm clutch spline,,so gm and ford must use the same clutch spline on a tremec,,

i have been talking with classis mopar 5 speed,,but now that they have been bought out by B&M they dont return e mail or answer the phone,,,im certian its the ford,, i just wanted to see if any one new different,,, i am ordering a new quick time scatter shield and didnt want to get the wrong one,,, i will try keislier and se if they give up any info,, long gone, i know you did yours on your own,,,did you buy the tremec tko ?? and did you buy it direct from tremec or what ??? e mail me if you like please [email protected]

or ide be happy to call you,, im off friday and saturday thanks don

McLeod is coming out with a modular universal bellhousing for Mopars that will take any transmission. Of course ours will be the last on the market. There's an article on Car Crafts' website.

Fstfish, I bought mine from Keisler and used my existing Lakewood bellhousing. Keisler adapted it for the transmission.

I sent msg to cm5spd, and got two replies, one from Scott on 1/28/08.
He said they're a-body mods to the shifter area should be done in 30-45 days.

Jim.

I talked back and forth with Classic 5 Speed a few weeks ago. They picked up the phone everytime. Didn't get through to the person I wanted once because they were at lunch (it was a little after 12pm).

BTW Classic 5 Speed will have a midway booth at Spring Fling with their Mopar stuff. Come check out their 5 speed offerings in person!!
