Ok so here is the "Other" 500 i had in the shop with those pesky little Trick Flow heads. Almost the same build as this one http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=336635 with a few changes.
440 RB block 4.350 bore
4.150 stroke
7.100 rod
10.5 to 1 compression
MRL Custom HR cam High 230's duration .580's lift
Just about everything else is the same. Same heads, intake, carb, fuel. headers, dyno..... all the same. Now I knew I was going to give up a tad bit of torque with the lower compression, slightly more duration and longer rod, with hopes of make more top end HP. And wouldnt you know it, thats exactly what happen LOL
TQ peak was 670TQ at 3800-4000 with 600+ from >3000rpm to 5450rpm
HP peak was 628HP at 5400rpm with 600+HP from 4900rpm on up.
So we gave up 5TQ peak for a longer torque curve and gained 20HP. Win Win.
