Trim Molding Holes

I have a car coming that has the trim holes down each side. I want to weld them closed asap, but for the time being is it worth hunting down trim? Or are there plugs I can use ion the meantime. Just trying to avoid and inner rust from open body holes. Thanks guys.

RTV would be cheap & easy if you don't care what it looks like.
