hi folks
reading the nhra rule book it says that the battery must be fastened to the frame structure with a minimum of 2 3/8 bolts.i currently have 2 3/8 bolts going thru the trunk floor which i believe is wrong. does anyone have a picture of there set up. to me a picture is worth a thousand words.
thanks

you can put gusset plates under the floor pan to satisfy the frame structure issue.

I forget the size and thickness required, but it's similar to landing a roll bar on a floor pan.

i welded two 3/8 thick alum. plates together to form a 90, like angle iron with gussets. make it to fit your application. it has to come off the frame if you`re unable to go directly through the frame. in my case the rollbar is in the way, so it has to be offset. this is why i made the angle plate. of course i`m talking about under the car. my battery is in a vented marine box. just drill through the floor and your angle plate and get yourself threaded rod with a hold down bracket. if you`re going to the track, don`t forget a kill switch out the back or they won`t let you race. i`ll send you pics if you get desparate. i have the car all stored away for the winter. let me know, no prob.

O
send pic's please. i do have a battery switch mounted no problem there. a picture is alot easier to understand
thanks
