Hi,
I'm trying to remove the heater box from my dart. I took the one out of my barracuda a few years ago and don't recall having any problems getting it out. I took the blower fan out and unattatched the rod that supports is. It still feels like it is caught on something on the left side (towards the middle of the car) The car origionally had A/C, so i'm wondering if there is something else that is holding it back.

Another unrelated issue: someone took the hood springs off the car long before i owned it. I bought a set and took a fender off last night. On the passengers side, the top dowel has been bent backward, preventing the hood spring to fit over it. I wonder if someone had a problem with the hood latch adn the hood came up, runing the hood springs and bending that dowel. The only way that i can think of to straighten the dowel is to heat it up and bend it straight. The only thing that makes me nervous with this is that i was welding close to there on my barracuda once and caught the interior insulation on fire, something i do not want to repeat. Has anyone else had this problem and can advize me of an easy/fire preventative way?

Thank you
