tti 2.5"x-haust system

I'm trying to install a tti 2.5" x-pipe system on a 70 Duster 340 with stock manifolds and a column shift.The problem is the left head pipe interfers with the torsion bar,shift linkage and the firewall to floor lip.the motor mounts are new.Anyone have experience or suggestions on installing this system?

I had the same problem. TTI's instructions show how to bend the shift linkage rod to fit but I had some other linkage that seemed to work a little better. I also had to bent the firewall lip a little. I then trimed the the balance tube so that the pipes were a little closser together and that should get it away from the torsion bar.
