HEre are the real install instructions for the TTI 440-200's. Not the lame ones they will give you....
This takes 2 guys.
Prep:
Jack car as high as possible.
Pull torsion bars. Easiest way is pull T-bar clips ad loosen adjusters. Then loosen the main control arm bolt about 3/8 of an inch and hit it with a hammer. The T-bar will slide back and you can pull it out.
Unbolt both engine mounts.
Pull steering column.
Remove starter and unhook cables. diconnect Battery.
Jack engine as high as you can without leaving mounts.
headers go in from under.
=====================================================
Passenger side is tight to inner fender when going through. Put tape on headers.
Turn wheels all the way to the left. The center link is a PITA, dropping it would be easier but not a must.
Good luck with header bolts... :banghead: Try getting to them from underside, it helps.
Get all bolts in before you begin to tighten. Tighten bolts from centers out. torqe the ones you can get to with a torque wrench to 35 ft/lbs.
=============================================
Drivers side. This one goes in a little easier. Folow same tightening procedure.
The starter is a SOB. With header in but unbolted slip it into place from under car. Slip on to stud but do not tighten. Install upper bolt. Attach cable :banghead:
Now tighten starter. :banghead: Attach headers. I the meantime a bungeee under car will hold header in place as once in it cannot fall, only tip.
=================================================
Re-install suspension parts and bolts as well as engine mount bolts. Re-install column.
Check clearences :banghead:, install plugs :banghead:
