Hi guys, looking to do a tube chassis on my 64 dart. I know there is not a kit for these but wanting to see and get some ideas on doing it. I am working with a fab shop ( friend ) and he told me that he could not match the prices for material and see what I could do. Like I said,he is a friend and trying to help me out. Thanks for you're time

Try thinking out of the box and look up prices for another brand that might be close in size to your car and then modify to fit.
Ford Falcon or a '66 and older Chevelle or Nova/Chevy II come to mind..........

I've looked at s&w and Chris Alston, neither gives any info except wheelbase. I've heard someone using a duster kit but had to modify quite a bit.

If you haven't already, do some research on basic chassis design. There may be some newer books out there, but I have these two and highly recommend them.

Thank you, my fab guy has build a lot of chassis cars for many years. He has no problem building one for me but he was trying to help me out with the cost of material. So I'm trying to do a little search and save him the time. We are friends but business is business and the only welding I can do is jb welding lol

With some measurements from your car you may be able to compare to other available kits as recommended above for more common Chevy or Ford applications. You could even call the chassis makers with the dimensions or ask them what dimensions they need to make a recommendation for a close match.

Call Chris Alston tech line I used them and would never consider anyone else. Their advice and products work great. I have the car to prove it.

I do like their products but they are know to have not so great customer service. Today I did measure my dart and looking for something close to it's specs.
