Tuning Question Carter 4299S

I got my hands on a rebuillt Carter 4299S carb for the 383, been sitting on a shelf for a couple of years so I have to clean it before use.

The metering rods in the carb are the 3 step version. I´ve read that the jets are different for the 3 steps compared to the jets for 2 step rods. I´ve got a tuning kit for the Edelbrock carbs, can I use these rods and jets in the Carter
4299S carb?

You have to use the Edelbrock jets along with the 2 step rods but you need to be sure that you use the flat rod covers (AFB style) instead of the dished covers (AVS style).
