u joint question

:read2n my 68 valiant i have the 225 /6 and 7 1/4 rear..i want to replace the u joints,the parts stores want to know 2 things..bearing cup size,do i have 1.078inch or 1.126inch??yoke size,is mine 2 1/8inch or 2 5/8inch??i would be greatful for any help..

1.078" cap 2 1/8" yoke

The larger joints and yokes were for 4 speed and big block cars.

I prefer to have originals in hand for comparison when buying over the counter.
Sometimes thats not possible so I buy both and return the wrong ones.

You have the 7260 series.... which is the smallest of the 3 series offered in mopars...

See your local driveline shop...or truck shop.... don't even bother with the parts store, especially the big chains...
