U- Joint

Other than the difference in length, can I use my present 7 1/4 driveshaft in front of the 8 3/4 I'm picking up tomorrow, or should I grab the 8 3/4 shaft as well?

I'm not sure if the U-joints are the same.

How about driveshaft dia.? Is there a difference? :roll:

u joints shpuld be the same but get the shaft just in case. cant hurt to have extra parts!!!

The 8.75 drive shaft will be a littel over 2" shorter than the 7.25 drive shaft. Also, depending on the motor the 8.75 was behind you may have the larger u-joint.

If the rear end is coming out of the same series car then ggrab the drive shaft.
