Has any one ever used the U.S. car Tool rear spring relocation kit?

How is the fitment and ability to weld the 2 different thickness metals to the frame?
 
I used their stuff on my car. Take you time cutting away the frame rail. I made a rough cut with a plasma cutter and took away a little at a time after that with an angle grinder until I had a nice fit ready for welding. Concentrate most of the welding heat into the heavier metal and you should be fine.

beautiful welds !!
 
I used them as well. Easier to line up and install than the mopar performance ones, plus they are more stout with thicker gauge metal.
 
i have somewhat of a dilemma.. I have the US car tool relocation kit for my A-body and the holes in the supplied boxes are 5/8, my leaf springs and factory brackets and bolts are 1/2...I have the hotchkis leaf springs which are also half inch...

what gives?
 
..........The mopar performance super stock springs for the A body has 5/8 in holes......... or u could change the front bushing to the ones with the 5/8s hole............kim.....
 
easy enough. thanks oldkimmer, ill see if hotchkis has those bushings available for their springs. :)
 
I also used the US cartools set up in my dart. The welding part worried me a little bit also so I my neighbor come over and do them for me. He is a certified welder. I done all the rest of the welding on this project of mine and have learned plenty about welding sheet metal.
