Under Carriage Grime & Coating

My Problem: Getting carpal tunnel from holding a grinder.

My Mission: I want to get all that Gunk & stuff off the bottom of my car so I can look at my rust and then re-seal it with a lighter layer of Coating.

My questions:
-How have you guys gotten that crap off?
-What is a good replacement Coating?

Heat and scrape. I also heard that PB Blaster turns the stuff to mush if you let it sit over might but I havent tried it yet.

We use a light weight rubberized under coating at my shop from 3M. Its much lighter then the tar stuff the factory used.

I'd use the blaster. Heat and scrape works if the carpet is out and burning jute is not a good thing. LOL toolman

Heat and scrape, get a trigger start propane torch and have at it.
