Hey guys well after the transmission debacle plus the shift cable I fixed that. Here is a video of it idling warmed up after I went for a drive, so far put about 250 miles on the build about to do first oil change (even though I had to do a oil change of break in oil due to being paranoid) lol

So as many ofsof you may know this is first build, today I had after driving for about 1 hour and it was pretty hot out my oil pressure pressure after driving around in about like 96° and it was about 12-15 idlling on the hot side (it did feel hotter than that). Is that normal pressure with high volume pump 30w break in and clearances were .0025. just curious and probably being paranoid but tomorow I plan to make the first oil change to 10w40. I am also using a short sweep electrical Guage so maybe I need to get some more precise mechanical wide sweep? I understand I might be overthinking this as well. Oh yeah and for the ones that are curious how the cam came out for my build, with a 3000k stall 9 1/2 , this thing rips lol it's very quick off the line. Impressed my little girl when I was at the stoplight with the wife and kids in the family car and i attempted to launch and it didn't get traction for about 80 feet and I had to peddle it out since I was going into my wife's lane with the rear leading lol(I don't if that would be right term) but anyways the cars drives great gets a little hot in CA stop and go traffic but loves to run. Got about 10 initial timing in it. Have a mechanical fan and switching to dual electric. I will say the car is a blast to drive out of all the years I've owned it omg it's so much fun going out on old road just cruising with the occasional throttle moments lol. Thank for all the help guys and I appreciate as I am still learning and always will be. Got a buttload of parts sitting in the garage ready to go in just need time and still needs proper tuning lol (plan on doing qa1 strut rods, transmission cooler+ plus new deep pan alternator(upgraded due to electric fan update upcoming) and a bunch of stuff and parts I've been procrastinating to put on lol

So I'll be straight honest when it comes to displacement I don't know whether you round up or not cause I am at a 372.6 was looking at my scat kit recipets and it said 373 so I figured it's rounding up lol

That's what I'd do. What's the bore and stroke?

Ford rounded up the 302 in both cubic inches and liters. They advertise it as a 302 and it's a 301 and does NOT round up. It also works out to be a 4.9 and does NOT round up that way either. LOL

        4.07 bore
        3.58 stroke
Lol may not be a 408 but I do like it and I'd say good for my first build performance wise

Indeed, for sure. I wouldda done the same thing, though. How ghey does 4.9 or 301 sound? Especially for a Fox body performance car. GHEY lol

But, by the same token the 400 Ford, a Cleveland family motor has a 4" bore and a 4" stroke. Longest stroke pushrod motor Ford ever made, yet do the math on that and you get 402. lol

Not to nit pick I got 301.59 lol
funny thing I notice with 4 inch bores is if you take any stroke like 2.87" 3.00" 3.25" 3.48" 3.58" 4.00" etc.. if you drop the decimal point and add 2 to it you get the displacement 289 302 327 350 360 402 etc..

To the OP is that a 340 or 360 block ?

It is a 340 block with a scat forged kit in it.
All the drivetrain has been swapped over, it's just crazy watching the transformation from what it was lol

Break in oil is often thin and your switch to 10W40 will likely increase the oil pressure a little but not a lot . Trying a good mechanical gauge is a good idea to validate your pressure.

REALLY DON'T THINK THE CHANGE IN OIL will bring the pressure up that much , but it can't hurt . GOOD GAUGE is a great idea the factory and many aftermarket electric gauges are not reliable
