Folks, first I want to thank everyone here for the great advice and help I have received on this forum. A real wealth of knowledge here.

These are updated pics of my 71 Dart, I just finished the interior; Headliner (toughest project), Carpet kit, dash restoration, and seat installation. The engine and tranny are installed. Next step is final install of the carb, headers, radiator etc. Then I fire it up!

Deatils about the car: Paint is Torred which I picked to match my 06 Daytona Charger (which I no longer have), Stripe is painted not a decal, Interior is leather including the door panels (only because there was enough leather to do them). Engine is a an 70 340 block, J jeads, 10:1 KB, Comp Cams 268H cam, probably top it off with a Holley. Have not picked out headers yet but know I cant afford TTI's right now.

A few observations I have developed along the way. The engineering of this car far exceeds that of similar vintage Fords I have restored. The fit and finish also seems to be a lot tighter. Mating up the engine and tranny was MUCh easier than on a Ford because on a ford you have to align the torque converter bolts with the flexplate holes all while trying to muscle the tranny into place. On the Mopar it was much simpler.
Anyways, thanks for all the help so far.

Mopars are good, but evidently, you got lucky, the flex and converter are offset bolts, to keep it in balance, wait, a pat 70 engine? nevermind.

re-read, 70 forged, internal balance. You were lucky to bolt it the first time. And lucky to now own a real speedster...

4SpeedCuda66 - not sure what brand was used but I spec'd the paintshop to match the Dodge Torred color from my 06 Charger. I do know they said the paint was over a grand alone. Ouch.
