i have an upper engine rattle. 340 bored to 373. i pulled the right valve cover and it is getting oil to the rocker shaft and rockers. oil pressure is 60 psi at start up. running 20/50 for oil. the only change i have made to the engine is mopar preformance valve covers. nothing is hiting on the new valve covers. i do have the local mopar god coming to look at the engine but asking for help shouldent hurt.
thank you in advance.

What kinda rattle? Whats it sound like? Where does it sound like it is coming from? Did you look at the pre-load on the lifters when you tightened your shafts down? Whats the story on piston clearance? New wrist pins? Floating? How were the bushings in your rods? Are your exhaust flanges loose? How about your power steering bracket? Did you check your crank pulley and water pump pulley?

Check the interference of the valve covers on the intake manifold runners, Sometimes you have to run 2 cork gaskets or clearance the cast AL pan rail for the intake runners. MT's are like this. A rattle could be loose convertor bolts too.
Is the rattle RPM specific or does it sound like a heat shield vibrating on something?
