I am looking for the part number for the upper piece to kick down linkage set for 4-barrel Thermoquad/727 for 318/340/360. For reference, I have a 72 dart but it came with a 2BBL that I have converted over to 4BBL.

I see reproduction linkages but I dont need all of the parts in the kit. Only the upper rod. I have searched for used pieces (google and want ad) and new pieces but either cant find the right one or only the whole kit comes up ($350). I have seen where a 2BBL rod can be bent and made to work but I don't want to do that. I want the correct piece.

Here is a photo of what I am looking for. It's got an upright bend then a lateral bend with an ear for the spring attachment. I'm hoping someone with a Mopar parts book can find the part number so I can continue searching some NOS sites.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance!
Go to my mymopar.com
-> parts books -> '72
Download that. it might cover two model years - that's OK.
Find the illustrated parts drawing - I think under Fuel system, but dont recall for sure
Then take the section number and look though the numerical listing for that.
Off the top of my head the differneces are in the intermediate rod and the bell cranks,
the bottom rod and lever IIRC are different between 904 and 727

I do have the intermediate rod, bell crank and bottom rod for 727 already. I found and purchased that locally from a Mopar guy. He didnt have the upper rod though and its the upper rod (my original) that doesn't line up with the swapped 4BBL carb.

I'll download and check the manual. Thanks for the suggestion!

Throttle bracket on a 340 is higher and longer. So again just modify 318 pieces which are usually quite cheap or free!

motor mounts...318 only need one ear welded on but i had cut the ear off one some time ago so i had to weld one on each. Will need a 3/16" spacer for the drivers' side or i may get ambitious and cut the section out and weld.

nice work! I already have throttle bracket and motor mounts sorted.

You really should manufacture and sell small runs of those upper throttle rods. I’ve seen a handful of people looking for just that rod and not the whole $350 kit. I don’t think you’d sell a ton of them but there is a bit of a market.

PM me if you’d entertain the idea of fabricating one for me. I have a spare I can send you to chop up

Build another one...i've been on this one for about 6 months and play with it when i can...so i have my hands full!

I think the bell crank in the top picture is E body and the bottom is A body. I made the E body piece for my dart 340 linkage because it was easier...but i could be wrong.

If you are looking for parts you really need to start a parts wanted thread.

I was looking for a part number to search NOS supplier sites since a few weeks back, I started a wanted ad for this piece but it was a bust. I believe I handled it appropriately by taking it to DM when a member posted that he had the actual part? Apologies the thread turned that direction
