what the hell is the difference between a v200 and v100

It is just trim options, the V200 has more outside trim, deluxe steering wheel, seats, etc.

and i think the 200's had a different badge on trunk deck

I believe the V100 is a plain-jane 2-door sedan and the V200 is a 4-door, the V200 models had fancier trim and options. This may have changed for the 67-up Valiants.

Both V100's and V200's came in 2 and 4 doors.

V100's were basic Valiants. Rubber mats, taxicab upholstery, horn button, no trim, dog dish hubcaps and blackwall tires, heater optional, etc. V200's got you carpet, nice seats and door panels, horn ring, two sunvisors, lots of trim, full wheel covers, heater, etc. VL's were 100's, VH's were 200's. This covered 2 doors, 4 doors, and the equivalent was true for Barracudas and Darts as well. Ran through '76. Don't count on the badging on the car however. I know of at least 1 '67 Valiant 100 with 200 trim. That's how dad ordered his in September '66. Had 200 badging and trim with a horn ring but rubber mats and taxicab seats and door panels. Valiant 100 has No side chrome,
Valiant 200 has some,
Valiant Sigent 200 has more chrome; fancier interior etc.

Now here is a side of the Valiant 100, no side chrome.

Now I not sure what the difference is between the 100 & 200 is but as for the 200 having side trim and the 100 not having it that maybe true for the plain jayn cars. my custom100 2dr hardtop that has all the side trim but no rocker, wheel opening trim or, the trim panel under the trunk lid. the seats are vienal bench with cloth inserts. i'm sure there are more differences but i have not seen to many 200.

Hey,custom100....these guys are talkin' US Valiants. Canadian Valiants are a whole 'nuther breed....

Canadian (Custom) 100 series is same as the US 100 series;

Canadian (Custom) 200 series is the same as US Dart;

Canadian Signet series is same as US Dart GT.
