So my barracuda originally came with a \6 and 3 on the tree that me and my dad pulled out to put a 360/727 combo in. My question is this. How long would it take to convert it back so that I can still drive the car with the slant in it while getting the 360 rebuilt? Would I be able to do it in a weekend?

You only need to change the frame motor mounts and linkages i would think. Should just bolt right back in. Would have to go back to the original radiator too. The exhaust might be a problem though.

Exhaust will definately be a problem. I reused the radiator, just had it boiled, cleaned and sealed. It was a 3 core like the 273s used since I also have AC in the car (stock).

oh your car was a stock 273 car? If so you will probably need a /6 radiator but i might be wrong. The slant radiators are off center because the motor leans to one side. It might work for temporary use? I just recently went from a /6 to 360 in my car.

no, the \6 was stock and had AC (southern car) so the radiator that they used was the same as the 273s, the three core. I had that problem with the rad being off center for the 360 and just ignored it. I'll fix it later as it's just two sheets of metal on the side that aren't equal in length in front holding it down as you already know. That is literally all they did to move the radiator over. I'm surprised they didn't just start off with both sides being equal and then just cut off the passenger side and welded it to the drivers side until the radiator was centered on the fan. The slant going back in is definitely temporary. I need to get the 360 rebuilt badly but since my caprice is down I need the cuda to use as a DD for now.

good luck with it man. Keep us updated on it would like to know how easy it is and how long to do? You are the one that installed durango manifolds on yours right? i remember that thread. How did that work out for you? I have some and i am thinking about converting my 66 to manual steering so i can put them on.
