Okay guys did a lil searching and didn't find what I was looking for. Well not exactly.

Okay so I have a 68 valiant and I know they are what the dusters spawned from. So I'm wanting to do some wheel well opening mods. Now My father has a 69 dart with his openings cut like the old ss/a darts. Just a little bigger. (previous owner). I was thinking about doing the same, but I dont know if I want to take that much out. See I love the look of the rear tire sticking out of the body. I know I could mini tub and get some good sized meats under the car, but thats not the look I want. Now I really like the look of 7172 duster's setup, and thats what I would like to do with mine.

Now my question is. Do they sell just the duster wheel well opening without the rest of the sheetmetal? I have found whole rear quarter panels, and panals that where half the opening to the bumper, but nothing small and all of the opening. I just want something from the middle body line down. Dose anyone know of anything or am I at a deadend. If I have to I'll cut mine. I was just looking for and easier way to get the look I want.

Thanks,
Bob B.

I'm not aware of anyone making just the wheel opening area. If you don't want to buy quarter panel skins and cut them up, could you just get a couple of old front fenders and cut the wheel opening out of them?

Okay kids I think I may have found an answer. But I need to know if anyone has used these guys before. Is Rear quarter "A" the same as "B". Stupid cartoon makes it look like a dart or scamp opening.

Darts and scamps are great. I'm mad at the drawing.

I believe the drawing is the 'old style' skin. It won't have the lip that welds to the rocker pinchweld and the lines won't be as crisp as the new stamping that is shown with an actual picture. Will probably work fine to cut up as you plan to do, though.
I've purchased from them before. They seem to have more reasonable shipping compared to some of the other vendors.

Thanks for the info. I plan on mini tubbing, but a little different. I plan on cutting the tub in half and moving the inner tub in 2 inches or so. But for the outer tub I plan on going straight to the body. Hopfuly if I do it right the outer wheel opening will end up being just sheet metal, and I can trim to whatever looks the best.

Thanks again.

You can tell by the body line. The duster / dart sport / demon / 67-69+ valiant, all share the same body lines. If you look at the lower line of these cars, there is an "S", or wave shape that goes through the wheel opening. The dart and scamp do not share this line.
