I know It's about time I do this
Our local insurance company Insurance Solutions Brookland Arkansas
has Grundy ( I think thats how you spell it) classic car Insurance and I drove Victoria there to get a quote for $5.000.00 of coverage :-k
I have been told that I should put more on her :-k

How much would be reasonable in your eyes and experience ?

I know I can raise it as I get farther in on getting her completed but as she is now how much should I cover her for ?
Thank you all very much for your time on this :happy2:
I will be doing this in 30 days

Matching # on a 66k mile sedan and runs perfectly
Here is a few pictures

The last picture is were I keep her safe and dry

I have put all new outer rear end bearings and front end bearing (just to keep her slippery) :burnout:
New tires on the Rallies new split waggin manifolds and new exhaust system.
I did the Offey and 390 DP Holley about 3 years ago.
rear lower quarters need replace and front right side fender (has mud in them) so I have a perfect fender here and a pair of lower 1/4'es to get her mud free
Just a couple more pictures to help you all along
Thank you all so much for your input :happy1:

Hey Mike I just insured the CUDA through State Farm for a $15,000.00 value. They had me take pictures of both sides, the front, back, interior, and engine compartment and told me to set the value. It costs me $103.20 for 6 months of full coverage and that is with $200.00 comp deductible and $400.00 collison deductible. The other 6 months I put storage insurance it which is about $40.00 I came up with the $15,000.00 value based on the work I did to it and what it would cost to replace it. I would check on what the cost difference is for $5,000.00 as opposed to $10,000.00 and if it is only a small amount go with the higher value. Hope that helps.
Bob

I was thinking the $5,000 to $10,000 range but I guess it comes down to premium price. That and what you would be happy with as far as payment for the car if something were to happen to it. I'm assuming your considering a agreed value policy.

i would go 10,000 minimum. its only increasing in value, and im sure you have at least that much into it. besides, god forbid it get stolen or damaged, it would have been worth the premium.

I pay 5,000 on my dart which I need to bump to 10,000 and I have 10,000 on my cude which I should bump 20,000,anyways one is 100.00 and the other is 140.00 a year so definitly bump it to 10,000 for around $40-$50 more a year.

This does help Bob, Thank you. Full coverage for $5.000.00 with a $200 deductible I was quoted $113.00 a year and I did inform him that I do take it for short trips to the store and to visit car shows and I have put 22.000 miles on her in 4 years, I took a picture of the nest(garage) I bought so I could get insurance on it threw Grundy.

My problem is the insurance I have know would not come close to the real value of my 66 sedan as you probably know..
The 66 Sedan Valiant is a one year only car and parts are very hard to find, bumpers , body and belly is all different then a 63,64,65 and 67 as I am sure you know also :-k The insurance I have know with all my other cars would total it at maybe 1.200.00 witch is the value of my wheels , tires and intake and carb :wack: I have been looking for any 66'es with the original 170/6 3 on the tree matching car, I have allot of work and mat. in it but it's all in the drive train and engine. It has been threw a safety inspection and it was picked over real well and past as a perfect inspection with out a fire extinguisher, Thank you zhandfull, I see what you are saying :-k

Thank you 73AbodEE, I just want to be reasonable and I have been busy thinking and looking at the value and I tend to agree that I should think about going at least $7.500.00 on her, she has been a great edition to my family, I would be fit to be tied if Victoria was stolen or some body took her away from me because they was using these new phones :banghead:
Thank you

there Mike, i fixed it LOL SHE (Victoria) is one of the family, and i know it would be a very bad thing if something happened. definitely bump the insurance up , there are too many variables out on the road that could come into play with cell phones and kids these days.

Thank you 73AbodEE, I agree, and don't even want to think of anything happening to my gall :shaking2:
