Valve body and transmission problem 727

Hello all, i recently cleaned out my valve body and noticed this notch in one of the passage ways, looks like someone drilled it was wondering if that could cause an internal leak?
I also have been having a problem with 1st gear locking up and releasing, trans also doesn't down shift when coming to a stop, never had any of these problems till I replaced the low/reverse band and rear drum, thanks for any input, it's a 75 dodge w100 if that matters

That drilled spot. Is part of the trango shift kit that has been installed at some time.
Binding or tie up in low recheck band adjustment.
No downshift to low poss sticking gov.

I forgot to mention, my kickdown isn't working, I have all the linkage hooked up correctly and adjusted, i did check re adjust the bands, does make sense that it has a shift kit because it did shift really hard

How many turns did u back off the bands? Kim

KD is all hooked up correctly....but NOT WORKING.....

As I stated before both issues, no down shifting to low and no kick down or line rise at full throttle are gov. Issues.
gov has sticking weights need to pull tail housing and repair gov.
