I bought a set of aftermarket valve vcovers and put them on tonight to see if I would have any issues with them. Well I do! They are aluminum covers with a bottom flange that appears to be hitting the springs. Yes they are not a stock spring and the heads needed to be cut to use them. I was wondering has anyone else had this issue and can I just have them machined to clearance for the springs? They came cut for clearance on the push rods. I wasnt able to take pics tonight of the cover but will try tomorrow.

Just a quick update on this. I havent looked into this any farther until yesterday when I removed the engine. I was looking to see if I could just relieve some clearance on the sealing area, when I saw that the cover wasnt moving because of the tabs on the intake are touching the edge of the cover and not tight on the springs. Sorry if I confused anyone with this. Just didnt check it out when I first put them on and I should have not assumed!
