The 69 V100 had a valve job prior to me purchasing. Now..., is that indicative of running unleaded fuel in a system designed for leaded fuel? Some people think the whole recessed valve seating issue being related to unleaded fuel is a myth. Some people say you need hardened valve seats to run unleaded fuel in these types of motors. What is the real deal? Should I be using an additive? Everyone seems to have a different opinion on this.

If you have mild valve springs (stock is very light tension), and high gearing, and do a lot of idle/stop and go/ city driving, you dont have to worry about no-lead seats unless you want to. They should be fine. If you plan to go mid rpm steady state for 300 miles, or beat on it and run heavier valve springs, then you should put unleaded seats in it. Least that's how I decide. My /6 build will have the seats...
