Hi , Looking for the valve lash on a stx 21 racer brown cam. 360 engine.
Specs would be nice if you have them, But really just looking for the lash adjustment.
Thanks,
Greg

Since no one has chimed in yet, i'll just say that the few Racer Brown cams I used, along with a lot of the older cams, used a pretty wide spec compared with some modern grinds.

Assuming your using iron heads, i'd look at .022 int & .026 ext as a decent starting point. Should be a safe spec at first, and you can adjust a few number up/down depending on how it sounds/runs.

Iron W2 , Tried their web site, doesn't really give much info on the stx-21, and no mention of valve lash settings, I'll try calling them later today,
Thanks for the reply.

Racer Brown doesn't have a website. FBO has Racer Brown cams listed but that's it. Jim at Racer Brown does things the old fashion way, LOL...

thats pretty tight

That is tight for an older cam. Their usually much looser like Rick said. But if that's what Jim said I'm sure it'll be fine. I've been running RB cams for a few yrs. now with great results.
