Some info for those that have the need for speed. My dart sport had a 400blk stroked to 511 ci all the good stuff B1 heads ported etc, roller with Harland Sharp rockers, etc developed 787 on the dyno fairly bumpy hp line in the upper range of the rpm. Broke the motor 4 times push rods bending breaking rocker arms and finally at Rockingham ran the 1/4 mile race at the mopar event bent 6 pushrods and broke 3 rockers blowed out the lifters took out the bearings with no oil pressure. I now have a light as well as a gauge.
Phase two: rebuilt the motor not a lot of damage new rings, bearings, bushed the lifter bores and installed new JESEL rockers, lifters, and tapered end push rods, and just dynoed the motor. With this minor change the motor has 827HP and was still making power at 7300 RPM on the dyno with everthing the same as the old motor. The HP curve and the torque curve were as smooth as could be, you would not believe the diference. The car ran this past weekend in the 5.40's with a 1.19 sixty foot time.
So FYI Jesel's make the differance. It was worth all the money. Just thought someone may need this info.
