The block will need to be bored out and machined. I removed the pistons and inside of the motor. There is quite a lip in the combustion chamber.
Under normal circumstances I would be happy. Bigger chamber, more power. But this is going to cost me. But at least it's getting done.

I grabbed the old wire bruck and went to town. Motor is looke good. off to the machine shop to see what this is going to cost me.

Now I have no choise. I'm going to have to buy new pistons.

Sorry, fixed it. Just got back from the machine shop. .030 will work. gonna be about $300 for the work. not too bad, just unexpected costs. gotta love those.

Feel lucky if you only have to bore it. I bought a 360 that was rebuilt by our local Mopar dealer. Let's just say I've seen better work come from a high school auto shop. Needed bored, new crank, cam and anything else that moved pretty much.
Oh yeah, the heads were junk too. Ended up with $1200 in it before I was done and that was with me doing the assembly.

The shop called me, The motor took everything with no problem. The block is in really good shape and it took the .030 bore with no issues. He will call me when the crank is done and I will be ordering my parts

Basicly. Tested block, Bored, honed, main and cam journals honed, dipped, Cleaned, Crank turned. all for $425. Can't complain, I know it's been done right.
