Anyone have experience or advice for porting a W2 Victor beyond the port matching 1.5-2" up from the head?

Clean up the flashing and leave a rough finish? What about the plenum?

Thanks

Engine spec are;
297 intake flow at. 650
Solid roller cam 248/250 @.050
4sp car
Street/Strip

If it makes a diference....

The runner at the plenum should be bigger than at the manifold face. Some times it's hard to do with out welding.

Intake porting is some of the most time consuming, frustrating, compromising way to make power there is. It's worth it. I should have done more welding on my intake and I had to do some compromising.

I dont have the skills to be welding so I will be skipping that part.

Are you saying the size of the runner should gradually neck down to the size of the intake port?

Yes, but like I said, it's hard to do even with welding because the runners are relatively short compared to a tunnel ram. Sometimes, the best you can do is keep the cross section as equal as you can and damn sure you don't want the port at the intake bigger than the port where it meets the plenum.

Got it...
What about the roof of the plenum entrance... Any blending there?

As big a radius as you can get at the top of the runner...which won't be much unless you do some welding!

Like I said...a giant pain in the ***.
