Look how closely the 1961 Studebaker Lark and the 1962 Plymouth Valiant resemble each other. I always wondered why some people of a certain age think my Road Toad is a Studebaker, until I happened to see a picture of the '61 Lark.

imagine what these cars could have looked like without the massive brick wall grills.
 
it wasn't well received in '62. Very poor sales. They kind of exiled him after that fiasco. It was an excellent platform. The 63-65's were great. The '62 is an acquired taste for me. I like them much more now than I did then.
