Virgin 340 early date engine w/727-A

A virgin, new apart early date 1968 340 motor. This motor was never apart and turned freely by hand and has just been disassembled for inspection.
Std bore on a thick wall block. Has factory pistons and rods. Added bonus is that this is an early dated engine that dates into 1967. THis motor comes with alot hard to find and exspensive parts including factory valve covers, large valved performance X heads, forged crank, distributor, harmonic balancer, 4bbl intake, oil pan w/shield, factory hipo 340 carb, throtle linkage. Also comes with a hipo 727-A torque flight transmission. Only parts that don't go with it as the exaust manifolds. If you were to piece together these parts, would easily cost you close to $2500.
Am selling the whole lot for only $1400 firm. Try pricing something like that, you won't find one that hasn't been apart and monkeyed with.

Not sure what you mean. Do you have a picture of the erea that I can check those numbers for?

right under the driver head gasket line next to the timing chain cover there is a smooth pad that has some stamped numbers, you might have to scrape it with a putty knife to see them as they are pretty light and under a coat or 2 of paint and crud. With a core number of 3, that seems to be later on in the run, but they are date coded.
