Moved it from Firewall to fender with a dedicated ground and … Viola! No more voltage overcharging or wild fluctuations
I know the purists won’t like but hey … more accessible and not relying on mounting bolts for ground so better function.
I took out the Windshield wash bottle which i never use.
Wanted to share.

Well just sayin' but you don't actually have to move it somewhere to get a good ground. Those can be problematic because of the paint/ coating. I don't know whether it's really high quality paint (epoxy?) or powder coat, or what, but they MUST be scraped to metal to get grounded. I am always sayin "star washers."

No decent electrical designer would ever have thought much of the design of these, AKA using the case to ground it in such a hostile environment. And that includes other components as well.

Functionality is key! I did something similar with our 67 when I swapped to 70 up on our 67 cuda.
