Im probably gonna get ate up here lol, i have a set of econo w2s and i wanna know if its possible or if anyone has tried or done it, but modified a ld340 to oval ports to use with w2s. I know ive read about the unicorn ld340ta intake. Me and my sons are building 340 roadrunner and we have been using as much old school direct connection parts as possible as if we was building it in the 70s.

I did a six pack manifold a number of years ago.
You will likely need to weld up the outside along the flange to get more material. Also weld the standard la intake holes.
Redrill the mounting holes for w2.
Then get out the die grinder and grind away to match the oval ports.

You may be further ahead by finding the aluminum dual plane w2 intake. I know jegs had them before covid started

Yep, I welded up one to use on W2 heads years ago. Lot of custom work but can be done. I hope you already have rocker arms and the correct shafts, If not your gonna cry when you see the prices. Plus you'll have to make push rods.

I have almost 3 sets of rockers most are new
Shafts are Harland .180 offset From Mancini
I will have to order pushrods soon surely someone will make a set compatible with these old relic rockerarms

Be careful that you don’t purchase a low deck W2 designed for the shorter race blocks.

That reply was not directed at you but to the OP in response to the first post after the thread was made.

Nope, no pictures. I sold it when I got a dual plane manifold a long time ago.

the w2 econos i thought uses stock valvetrain, thought thats where the econo came in?

Nope. The intake rocker arms are different. The econos have pedestals case into them. Still need different shafts for the oiling too. Most of them have the oil holes drilled in the wrong place anyway. Nothing econo about them really.

Plus if I remember correctly there are two different econo heads. One long valve and one short valve. Either way you need the off set rocker arms.
