So I work at AutoZone here in Houston and we deliver to a few commercial accounts. I went to a local shop down the freeway and what do I see when walk in to deliver their alternator? A lime green 1970 Plymouth GTX. Just sitting there!

Me: Who's car is that?
Owner: Mine
Me:Interested in selling it?
Owner: Nope, I'll sell the shop before I sell the car.

Want to know it's condition? All panels seemed in good condition. Running big block, perfectly drivable automobile, JUST SITTING THERE!

Me: How long has it been sitting there?
Owner: I don't remember.

The thing has at least a quarter inch of dust on it. He said he turns in on once in a while but that's it.

ARGH!!! I'm not going to say it's a waste but damn, it should be driven and I think I'm the one that should drive it! Ha, ha

Sounds familiar!! If I had 1/10 of the cars I've found like that, either built and sitting, or just rusting away in a back yard or field, I could start my own Mopar ranch. At least this one seems capable of being driven, and he starts it now and then. I think a lot of people go through periods in their lives when they loose interest in their old cars, then for some reason they get right back into them later on. But keep nagging at him like a wife anyway, he just might let it go sometime. :)
