Did you see the responses to the post you made on the 28th? One guy claimed to have a couple, and I posted a link to someone that is reproducing them. Lots of people are trying to sell used ones for 200-300 dollars, so I'd say that the repro for $170 isn't a horrible deal.

man i bought the black wrinkle repop years ago for $60. thats all they were new. and then it seemed like over night they went to $120 and now $170. man that sucks..
 
The MP ones were $35 for years and years. The first thing the Germans did was jump them up to $125, and then they discontinued them. I've seen people trying to get $250+ for used ones.

Oh man, you aint kiddin. I think I payed a bit less than that, BUT, I have had mine for about 20 years now.
I think there prices are stupid high!!!

I wonder how many they sold with the price jump?
