I need the left bezel that is in decent shape to send to the chrome shop for rechroming. I have a right side right now. But I would be willing to buy a complete set but not repops if anyone has one available.

Just saying.....do you need a mid-length or long housing? There are 3 lengths.....alot of people don't know that, not even (i guess) the people that repopped them because they only offer the short and long!!!!! Early built '69s have the mid-length from what i know/have seen...... 2 of my cars have mid-lengths, plus i have a NOS set of mids(none for sale).

Attached are a couple of pics I took of what I believe is a "short" B/U housing. It was another, more informed member's post who made me aware there was a "long" one. Now another new wrinkle a "mid-length". This light when installed on a 1967 barracuda actually points slightly upward rather than toward the ground or straight back so I can understand why the factory tried to correct it. I'd like to see other pics of mid and long to help us all be better informed and so I don't misidentify them to other members. Also, are the lenses and sockets all interchangeable?

What is the part number on that thing? Are you sure that is from a 67 thru 69 barracuda? It looks similar to one but one thing I noticed is the end where the wires connect. They used a round push in type connection and not a spade type on the back up lights at least that is the type that I have run into. Anyone else have any thoughts.

valiantpatrol, i agree with quote above and for other reasons. I took pics of all my 3 NOS different sizes but can't post the "SWEET EYE CANDY" until Tues. 1st to me is the socket is 90 degrees to the lens face, it should have and angle to it, 2nd there is no locating pin on your housing, 3rd looks like a '62 date on your lens, all '67 & '69s have 67 date on them.
valiantpatrol, can you unbolt the socket from the chrome housing? What are the part #'s on the chrome housing and the socket? You can read the socket # as assembled and is there SAE 62 on it?
I have a similar housing/assembly to yours and it has '62 dates and different part#'s which i'll post pics of also. I don't know what these other ones are off of, but something in '62-'66??? I'll somehow try to look up my part#.

The 1 on the right isn't Barracuda, i don't know what it is for(chrome housing#2245028, socket#2189731 and '62 on the lens). Notice the socket is straight up, Bcuda is at and angle. The sockets are the same for '67 or '69.

Locating pins are cast in the housings. Part#'s as follows
'67 (short length)....2606818-9
'69 up to Jan 1, 1969 (mid length)....2930616-7
'69 after Jan 1, 1969 (long length)....2930808-9

This shows locating pins, the chrome housings are right and left specific.

'67 and '69 use the same bulb sockets.

Right here Dave LOL, I had never heard of the midlength one before, let alone see one! Very nice, Im gonna have to chk mine. Thanks for posting, those are beautys for sure!!

I don't know what mine is off either, but am glad I poasted so I don't mis identify it to someone. Because of the visual similiarities in housing shape and even lens appearance I thought perhaps it was a '67 cuda type. Thanks for posting the pics of others on here and the education on the differences. Gotta love the FABO tribal knowledge !!
