For all of you out there with a supercharged setup or know someone who runs one, is a water/methynol injection system worth the money? I keep going back and forth trying to decide whether or not to run one. I would like to get as much input or thoughts about these systems as possible. I really don't want to spend $400-$600 on something if its not worth it. Thanks in advance.

In short ( I don't have a lot of time right now) with a water/methanol injection can let you run more boost more efficiently than a intercooler. It works on Chemical cooling and octane boosting(about 116 race gas equivalent from pump gas if done right) instead of just cooling the air. you can run very advanced timing and pick up Boatloads of power. if your into tinkering you can save some good money by following the instructions on this site.

Do It Yourself Water Alcohol Methanol Injection

If you want to know specifics post back and when I have more time I'll expound.

Hope this helps,

Benjamin

Hi Kevin,

If you are interested my son have a system that is less then one year old he no longer has a need for. If you do not mind a few scratches he would be willing to sell it for $80 plus $20 for shipping.

Kevin, I used an older Edelbrock Varajection setup on my normally aspirated tow vehicle with a 440. Back then (20 years ago) it worked wonders to help with detonation under load.

Hi Benjamin,

It comes with everthing thing needed to hook it up other then a tank. The motor/pump is the same one that is used with the Snow systems.
