hey hows it going everyone, i just got a new distributor from procomp electronics for my 318 wich has a highrise with dual 4s on it and the problem is when i try t o adjust the timing the vacuum box on the distributor hits the intake manifold and i can not turn it any farther, does anyone know a solution to this without having to rip the higrise off?? thanks in advance and have a nice day

I had the same issue. I just moved the plug wires back around on the cap one space and retimed it.

The vacuum advance can moved anywhere you need it. All you need to do is change where #1 plug wire is on the cap and reorient the distributor to it.
For example.... put the engine at TDC with the rotor pointing to #1-wire on the cap, move all the plug wires 2 spots to the left then lift, turn and reinstall with the rotor pointing to the new #1 spot.
You can have the vacuum advance pointing to the rear of the car if you want. It doesn't matter as long as the rotor and wire positions jive.
Its all in my head and hard for me to explain... Others will do a better job I hope.
