have been in the workshop bastardising a bellhousing for a historic touring car i''ve been involved with (valiant charger), was just wondering what sort of extremes the rest of the world go to, the basic rules of my class are original engine/driveline but theres a little bit of 'out of sight, out of mind' that usually sneaks past.

heres my extreme 8),

now what's everyone else found to work?

The friend saved over 200 pounds by using a fixed back bench seat, from a sedan and completely dismantling the back side of the dash. Removed every last scrap from behind the dash, even the backs of the guages, then glued the needles into the guage faces, if I recall correctly.

Make aluminium bumper brackets.
You can paint them black to make em look like steel.
These are the fronts from my cuda.

Reminds me of a HQ racer I know (not racing HQ's anymore)
Apparently a lot of weight can be taken out of a Holden 6 flywheel by removing the ring gear, drilling a heap of holes, then refitting the gear.

good to see some creative input :)

nqkjw, you've allready surpassed me with bumper brackets, as you'd know, aussie val brackets are double the cuda ones you're running, last ones i did were standards trimmed down with plasma. . . hmmm, i'll have to try and find photos of the bumpers i 'fixed'

fingers, I swear holden flywheels were dedicated for a bigger engine from the word dot :bootysha:

sst3193, niiice effort, i do however like 'some' of my gauges.
