I know another spring relocation question. I was wondering if this kit could be installed with a flux core welder? I dont have a gas hook up on my lincoln welder. will it be strong enough to hold?

the inside of the door should have a chart showing you the recoomended wire size, temp setting, speed, dist , and so on for what you want to weld. the small .023 wire will require gas, and that is what I use for sheetmetal patches, the slightly heavier stuff like frame rails, frame connectors, I use .030 in a flux mainly due, to having wind to contend with. the frame relocation stuff might be think enough to consider .035??? look at the chart, it will give all info.

innershield/flux core vs. gas are just different methods to get the same thing: atmospheric shielding.

The limiting factor for weld penetration (and thus strength with thicker material) is amperage.

The correct amperage for any joint is based on electrode size (wire thickness) and material thickness. You can get little pocket charts for amperage guidelines at any welding supply store, or you can just google it.
