What’s my 61 valiant worth?

ummmm. NO! don't see many around ok, it is unique i'll give ya that to a point, but its not rare and surely not very valuable so modify away man..

I agree. It would look badass pro streeted. Even with the slant still in it.

It's worth what someone is willing to pay. Hang a number on it high enough, so you can negotiate to what you want. Be realistic.

I think I’m goin to let it sit for a while, get the Dakota going and finish the power wagon. Maybe jack it up right where it is and overhaul the brakes, fix little things and enjoy it as is.

Thanks everyone for helping me make up my mind, this is the best mopar site out there.

I love it !
3 Valiants and 4 Lancers myself.
Rust in usual spots.
Bumpers look nice. Usually have a ding in one or the other. Chrome around "spare tire" is worth something.

I l were closer, l would be bugging you weekly to sell it. Lol.

Good luck and have fun in whatever you decide to do with it.

Value is not that great. People usually either love or hate these cars, no middle ground. For me, I would just clean her up, get her mechanically sound, drive her and have fun.

Over at .org several of the Slant Six drag race series participants run the early Valiant’s and Lancers. In fact a couple of the faster cars are Toads. There are two of the guys running them in the Lemons Racing. That body style is unique enough that it makes an interesting race car.

As a possible idea maker for you, below is a link to the thread on a '62 Valiant that runs low 11 second quarters at 115 mph, slant powered.
So some folks just have fun with them

Cool car but I'm curious about the Oliver. Maybe a 77? Doesn't look big enough for an 88, but hard to tell from the pics.

Its a 1956 super 88. Have the hood and side panels off of it from fixing the gas tank. Runs much cooler now. Have a 10 foot bush hog type mower. PO put the wide front end on it, it’s a beast

Yes, they are built to work for sure. Great old tractors.

I grew up farming with an 88, the precursor to the Super. Also had my great grandfather's Oliver 70 that he bought new, those were the two workhorses on our farm. Still have the 70 with intent to see if I can bring it back to life sometime soon. I think it would make Grandpa happy looking down from above to see it running and still in the family!

I’d slowly fix it up and keep it mostly stock. A very unusual car, styling wise. Guess Exner had a lot to do with it. Had a first year amc hornet with stuck engine and perfect body I’d wish I’d kept in hindsight. Was a two door and a unique car, like yours.

I`ve got one ive got 3500 in it. You cant find em. its millennial theft proof. 3 speed on the floor 2 door. You cant find em and they are lighter than the 64 on up so it is a perfect race car. So ugly its beautiful. Mile is listed for sale but if it doesn't sell will keep it and drive it someday. They are unique.

It is a cool ride.

I would guess $800 to $900. It IS a Mopar, but it is not the most desirable body style. I would get it running and drive / enjoy it.

You're dead right! A lot of people don't realize the earlier cars are lighter too, but they are. They certainly look bigger and heavier but they're not.

I wonder if a guy could run full size tires AND fenderwell headers. My 65 took the 340 right on the slanty mounts no adapters. Interesting.

Of course it did. The early cars used all the same k frames.
