Hopefully this is my last step, going to spend a day on the engine compartment and call it good. The engine should be in the car by the weekend, if all goes well.

I've working on putting the rear quarter windows in my my 65 Barracuda. Finally have one of them in and working fairly smooth. I should of left them in when I painted the car.
A big lesson on frustration! How can a little window cause so much grief!!!

Saw this on a "For Sale" post and didn't want to clog his add with my observation/comments... A nice 2nd Gen Barracuda lower valance.

A detail often missed on 67-69 Barracuda restorations is the factory Blackout treatment done to the front valance. Faded, but still visible here.
Makes these tabs kind of disappear from a distance.

Engine and transmission is in, now is the tedious process using up all the bolts in the parts tray. Had a problem with the rear cam plug leaking, some R&R and a bigger swing with the hammer. Some liquid enjoyment this afternoon will be well deserved.

Started on the front suspension rebuild and disc conversion today.

Just getting things cleaned up and documenting (photos and measurements)

Weather was unbelievable today! Perfect for a 35 mile drive around town. Should have taken a picture of the Barracuda parked in front of the shoe store, but here's a picture of what I bought! Comfortable ecco's, lol.

Brought the refreshed 340 bullet home today. Went .030 over, has the old 'Hemi grind cam in it. Basically just a fresh mill. It was broken in and checked for leaks on a dyno. Nothing fancy as it's for the 71 Demon 340.

Took the seat bottoms to the upholstery shop today to have new foam put in them. He pointed out that the drivers seat cover had been replaced. I asked him how he knew, and he said look at the stitching, the drivers side is blue and the passenger side is white. DOH! I've owned the car for two years and never noticed.

It’s been a while , feel like I have not been on a bodies or worked on my car in years , stupid house projects . But Finishing up my winter boredom mod. Did some fabrication to mount my radiator/ e fan on a slant . To then exhaust all the hot air through the aluminum ducting That goes though the hood vents .

A very wet rainy day is apon the hill, this stuff talks to my bones big time ! I hope to get out in the shop and wet sand this fender all over and do what needs to be done to get is smooth everywhere.
Then I can hang it back where it belongs

Put the instrument cluster back in the Demon tonight. You only need about 4 hands to do it!!
Update a day later: took it back out to plug in one connector I missed. Needed that 4th hand yet again to put it back in...

back to that turn signal switch- parts and a puller came in during the week. All going ok until I tried to sneak the wires back down the column. I found a speed bump in the wiring trough. Someone must have bent it "out of the way" at some point.

Careful when you tighten the steering column clamp. It is easy to pinch a wire. Don't ask me how I know!
