What Cam to use ?

Have a 65 Barracuda with a stock 273, 4 barrel, solid lifters. Want to up grade current cam. What came stock ? Are to purple cams any good.
Am a newbie to Mopar engines. Need as much info as I can get.
Have a 904 auto trans with 294 gear.

With a stock convertor and your rear gear, I would recommend The Isky E-4. It's a little bigger than stock specs and would work good with your combo. Flatlander is a Isky dealer. Just click on camshafts on the leftside menu and go from there. Schneider has a mild solid cam too. tmm

yea nothing to big... i bet 220 * .050 would rock. is this a flat top or dome piston motor?

The Schneider #14202 is a [email protected]/.480/ 110.
The Isky E-4 is a [email protected]/.425/108
