i got a new motor for my 21st b-day my grandfather had it in his bard for some time now,its a 69 440 hp block the lower end is all stock 69' the car had 33k on the clock so its still go some to go,anyways it got hooker fenderwells 2",harlinsharp 1.5,a mp 296/296 557/557 cam,a street dominator holley intake,the tranny im gonna use is a full manual VB with a 3800 stall,the rear end now is a spoled 4.88 8 3/4 with a 28x13.50 street slick,oh also im going with a full 6al msd billet dst. an there wires cut to fit,the carb is up in the air to u guys on what i should run!let me know if u need anymore info on what i got!

Have you tunred this engine over yet? A .557 solid cam should smack the pistons at some point. They dont have valve reliefs. I would check piston to valve clearance before you get too far. With 4.88s and 28s, I'd be looking at at least an 800cfm (dry flowed) carb.

I would loose the 488s for some 410s
