What engine should I use?

my pop has a 331 in his '49 plymouth convert S/D and it was a 10k build. It's not stock, but it's not really built either, it was put together right though.
 
Thanks for the input. I can get internal engine parts at wholesale and my good friend owns a cylinder head shop. That will save some money. I'm thinking of selling the 72' 340 block bare but don't know what to ask for it. It's been checked, bored 40 over line honed and I think I have the cam bearing installed (Not positive!). I would be happy to get what I paid for the machine work for it.

Go for the HEMI! nothing beats it for a wow factor. Hey has that thing got a HEMI in it?
