if anyone had a 56K modem about ten years ago, you might remember the website and extensive story of this orange valiant wagon.

I remember completely enjoying the story and evolution of the car but the site is long gone now.

Does anyone know what came of this car??? is the owner maybe a member here??

I hope the car is stashed away in a nice cool and dry garage somewhere.

Looks like it might be owned by Captain_Hero on the mtbr.com website.

Earlier in the story a guy into bicycles had a red convertible that got waxed by a BMW and the vert died and went to Valiant heaven. Captain hero responded to the sad news and the wagon was in his post. I thought it might be his wagon and not just a random photo in his post.

I understood the OP had a vert that was wrecked. The guy posting the wagon was just saying he liked it.
Info on the wagon :
Jeff Downing's '63 Plymouth Valiant V200 daily driver is a pretty much stock example of Ma' Mopars finest. It's outfitted with the bullet-proof 225 Slant Six backed by a 904 pushbutton tranny. The only thing Jeff has really changed is the paint which went from stock metallic brown to the eye candy that we see today

Well, there you have it!

dang, I just typed "Jeff Downing" into facebook and got 124 results ....what a needle in a hay stack. I would have thought that car would be on here since almost everything A-body on the net these days leads right back to FABO

I am wondering if this is the same Jeff Downing on facebook who owned that orange valiant.

This person on facebook has photos of a 64 valiant wagon and a 64 valiant 2 door. Coincidence that a Jeff Downing exists with pictures of a valiant but no orange wagon in sight??

Jeff Downing

August 27, 2015 he has an orange Valiant & all his other cars.
Looks like he has '63, '64 & '66 wagons.

I bought it. NO WAIT, HE BACKED OUT TOO !

The legend of the orange valiant wagon is still a mystery.

Did this car disappear into a mirage on bright sunny highway with cool wind through its vents on a deserted road somewhere???

Still no fabo member knows the legend and mystery of the orange valiant.

Did it disappear into time to never be seen again, or is there a logical story of its whereabouts.

Sure would be cool if it belonged to a member here.

Totally unfamiliar to me. Ain't ringin a bell. But then, there ain't much of a bell left.

You might PM Doug Dutra or Slant six Dan and see if they recognize it they were around pre internet and members of the Slant six club of America. Also note what looks like a California tag on the front of it.
