What happens when you use exhaust manifolds from a 74 318 on a stock 84 360?
What size pipe should the new exhaust be and what mufflers would sound nice and be a bit on louder side?

You create a restriction, not a good idea. It will work though. Why not find a set of 74 360 exhaust manifolds?
